Week 1 (June 22-June 24) – Feathered Friends

Birds of a feather flock together! Learn all about our feathered friends this week through bird watching and identification, owl pellet dissection, birdy games, and more.

Week 2 (June 29-July 1) – Water Worlds
Come discover what lies beneath! Our waterways are full of interesting creatures that can help us learn about the health of our water. Build dams, go wading to cool off, play games, and learn more about this special resource.

Week 3 (July 6-8) – Scaly & Slimy

Frogs and turtles and snakes – oh my! Come to Free Time Adventures this week to search different habitats for reptiles and amphibians. Learn to love these unique creatures (yes, even snakes!) and discover why they rely on special habitats like those at Bucktoe Creek!

Week 4 (July 13-15) – Wildlife Detectives
Do you think you have what it takes to be a wildlife detective? What clues are animals leaving behind that tell us they’ve been around? Learn about skulls, skins, scat, and tracks during this wild week.

Week 5 (July 20-22) – Creative by Nature

Get inspired by the natural world and connect to the environment through art! Create one-of-a-kind masterpieces using a variety of mediums and Mother Nature will provide unique material to enhance your compositions. Embrace your natural ability and become wild at art.

Week 6 (July 27-29) – Creepy Crawlies

Invertebrates are living in almost every habitat you can imagine! Discover these critters that dominate our environment by rolling logs, digging in the soil, sweeping nets through the meadows, and through bug-inspired play.

Week 7 (August 3-5) – Wilderness Survival
Can you build a survival shelter? Do you know how to start a fire without a match? See if you have what it takes to make it in the woods! Learn some wilderness skills through primitive games, shelter building, and working as a team with your friends.
